Collection System Rehabilitation Program

Collection System Rehabilitation Program

Valley Sanitary District is currently planning and programming a ten year, $60 million project to rehabilitate and reconstruct approximately 100 miles of sewer collection system pipes.

This rehabilitation program will take place within the District’s boundary, centered within Indio, California. However, a majority of the rehabilitation and repairs will be focused in downtown Indio where the collection system is oldest and needs the most improvement. To minimize the effect of the collection system rehabilitation project on Indio residents, repairs will take place in specific areas at a time.

The project design began in 2019, with construction commencing in 2020.
