Board Elections

District elections are held every two years in November on even-numbered years. Elections are consolidated with the statewide election. On April 14, 2020, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed that it was in the best interest of the rate payers to move from an at-large voting system to by-ward voting in compliance with the Californa Voting Rights Act.  Terms are staggered, with two terms expiring in one even-numbered year, and three terms expiring the following even-numbered year. Candidates for the District Board must be registered voters and reside within the boundaries of the Valley Sanitary District. Adpoted Election Division Map 2022.
 

The Riverside County Registrar of Voters is the Election Officer for the District and conducts the election. Nomination papers may be obtained from and election questions directed to:
