Indio, August 3, 2023 – Valley Sanitary District, a leading provider of wastewater services in the region, had the pleasure of hosting Angel Marquez, Field Representative from Sen. Alex Padilla's office, this morning.

The visit was an opportunity for the District to highlight ongoing efforts to improve services provided to the residents of Indio. The representative was given a tour of the existing facility, followed by discussions regarding future projects at Valley Sanitary District.

“This was a great opportunity to showcase our facility and discuss future opportunities with our local representative. We have a great relationship with Sen. Padilla and his team, and we look forward to continued success," said Jason Dafforn, VSD General Manager.

Valley Sanitary District is embarking on opportunities to recycle and reuse highly treated wastewater for beneficial use. Using recycled water will improve local groundwater conditions, reduce imported water demands, and provide a local, drought-resistant supply.

Valley Sanitary District serves and benefits Indio and the surrounding communities by collecting and treating wastewater to ensure a healthy environment and sustainable future.
