Backup Generator Project  

Valley Sanitary District is moving forward with the Backup Generator Project to strengthen the reliability and resilience of its wastewater treatment facilities. The new generator will provide emergency power during electrical outages, ensuring that critical treatment processes can continue operating when reliable power is needed most. This investment will help protect public health, maintain regulatory compliance, and minimize service disruptions during unexpected power interruptions. 

The project is currently awaiting air quality permitting approval from the Air Quality Management District (AQMD). Once the required permit is received, the next phase of the project will be the installation of the new backup generator and associated equipment. 

The Backup Generator Project is part of the District's ongoing commitment to investing in critical infrastructure that enhances operational reliability, improves emergency preparedness, and supports uninterrupted wastewater treatment services for the community.
