Railroad Pipeline Replacement

Railroad Pipeline Replacement

Valley Sanitary District is preparing for the Railroad Pipeline Replacement Project, an infrastructure improvement designed to replace an aging cast iron pipeline located beneath the railroad. Helping maintain a reliable wastewater collection system and reducing the risk of future maintenance issues or service disruptions.

The project design has been completed, and the project is expected to be advertised for competitive bids by end of August 2026. Once construction begins, the new pipeline will improve the reliability and resilience of this critical section of the District's wastewater infrastructure while supporting continued service to the community.

The Railroad Pipeline Replacement Project reflects the District's ongoing commitment to proactively investing in essential infrastructure that protects public health, supports reliable operations, and extends the service life of the wastewater collection system.
