Valley Sanitary District, in partnership with the Indio Water Authority through the East Valley Reclamation Authority (EVRA), is developing a Recycled Water Project that will create a reliable, sustainable water source by reusing highly treated wastewater for beneficial reuse purposes in our community.
Phase 1 of the project has been successfully completed, marking a significant milestone in the District's infrastructure improvements. This phase included major electrical upgrades, equipment commissioning, and final construction activities that enhanced the District's operational capabilities and prepared the facility for future recycled water production. The project was made possible through grant funding, reducing costs to the District while advancing critical improvements.
The project is currently moving into its next phase, which includes final design activities and identifying potential recycled water customers. As additional information becomes available and the project progresses, the Valley Sanitary District will continue to provide updates on its website.
