Digester #2 Cleaning and Assessment

Valley Sanitary District has awarded the Digester #2 Cleaning and Condition Assessment Project to MP Environmental as part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining reliable wastewater treatment infrastructure. Anaerobic digesters play a critical role in the treatment process by stabilizing biosolids and supporting efficient plant operations. Regular cleaning and condition assessments help ensure these facilities continue to operate safely and effectively. 

The project includes cleaning the District's original Digester #2 and performing a comprehensive condition assessment to evaluate the structural integrity and overall condition of the facility. The inspection will identify any maintenance or rehabilitation needs, allowing the District to proactively plan future improvements and extend the service life of this essential asset. 

The contractor is expected to begin work by the end of September 2026. The information gathered during the assessment will support long-term asset management planning, improve operational reliability.
