First and foremost, Debra Canero is a dedicated stakeholder of Valley Sanitary District. A lifelong resident of the Coachella Valley, she has proudly called the beautiful City of Indio, California home for the past 46 years. After retiring in 2019, Debra chose to devote her experience, leadership, and time to serving her community. Today, Debra proudly serves as the first female President of Valley Sanitary District, a role she holds with great honor and commitment. Her goal is to be the voice for community members who are busy working, raising families, and pursuing their education. Having once balanced those same responsibilities herself, Debra understands the challenges many residents face and is committed to representing their interests with compassion, integrity, and dedication.
