Director of Ward A, Edgar Santana has been a proud resident of Indio for the last 21 years.
Originally from the Los Angeles area, Edgar moved out to the Coachella Valley for work in 1999.
Edgar has a 25-year career in Law Enforcement working for the California Department of
Corrections and Rehabilitation. Edgar has been married to Brenda Santana for 27 years who is an
Educator in the Palm Spring Unified School District. They have 3 three grown children who were all
raised in Indio. His passion is attending his kids sporting events and coaching wrestling. With over
18 years of experience, Edgar is currently an assistant wrestling coach at Palm Desert High School.
He loves staying active and spending as much time as possible outdoors. His hobbies and interest
include traveling, cooking and attending music concerts with friends and family. Director Santana
prides himself in being an effective leader who understands that teamwork and collaboration
leads to success in community building and service.
